Did you know that the word “calçot” comes from the fact that, as the plant grows, it has to be “calçant” – shoeing -, that is, surround it with soil until it is harvested? Well, the time to pick up them has come and we want to enjoy the calçots in a good meal!
For this reason, we inaugurate the season of our private calçotades in the vineyards. An experience you will remember for sure! An outdoor activity, among vineyards, surrounded by nature, to enjoy with friends or family!
We start the day with a walk through the vineyard to discover the gorgeous places that surround the Can Boquet farmhouse and thus whet our appetite. We will also visit the winery where we make our organic wines. Finally, it will be time to roll up your sleeves to start preparing the calçotada as a team! Following our instructions and accompaniment, we together will make a fire, using the branches of the vine itself, and we will cook the calçots that we will have previously prepared. We accompanied them with an aperitif, sausages and grilled meat, everything paired with – it could not be otherwise – a tasting of our wines!
