Renewing the Biosphere Sustainable distinction, reaffirming our commitment to responsible tourism

Bouquet d’Alella has renewed the Biosphere Sustainable distinction, a recognition that confirms the winery’s commitment to a responsible tourism model that respects the territory, people and the environment.

The award ceremony took place at the Auditorium of Pineda de Mar and brought together tourism businesses and organisations from the region that actively work to integrate sustainability criteria into their activities. The programme is promoted by the Consorci de Promoció Turística Costa del Maresme and the Barcelona Provincial Council, with the support of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, with the aim of promoting tourism that is more responsible and aligned with current environmental and social challenges.

The Biosphere certification is an international recognition that validates the sustainability practices of tourism businesses. It is based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and on a model of continuous improvement that promotes responsible management of resources and the territory.

A commitment that is part of our project

For us, this renewal represents much more than a distinction. It is a way of reaffirming the philosophy that guides our daily work: caring for the landscape, respecting the territory and creating experiences that connect people with wine culture in a responsible way.

From the vineyards to the wine tourism activities, we integrate sustainability criteria into different areas of our project. We are committed to local identity, the preservation of Alella’s wine landscape and the creation of experiences that highlight the value of the territory and its heritage.

The Maresme, a territory increasingly committed to sustainability

The renewal of this distinction is part of a broader movement across the region. Each year, more tourism businesses and services in the Maresme join the Biosphere programme, strengthening the territory as a destination committed to responsible and high-quality tourism.

This network of professionals and institutions helps move forward together towards a tourism model that generates economic, social and environmental value for the region.

Continuing to move forward

At Bouquet d’Alella we are proud to be part of this initiative and would like to especially thank the Consorci de Promoció Turística Costa del Maresme for coordinating the programme in the region, as well as for their continued support to companies working towards a more sustainable tourism sector.

This recognition encourages us to keep improving and to continue working so that every visit to the winery becomes an experience that respects the territory and helps preserve it for the future.
